It is thought that over 100,000 people in Britain alone suffer from Charles Bonnet Syndrome, a condition that causes hallucinations which can lead sufferers to believe that they've lost their minds."Following his wife's death six years ago, David Stannard has become accustomed to spending quiet evenings alone at his home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.
